One-goal losses for Holloway Minor Atoms on weekend

The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms lost two very close games over the Oct. 17-18 weekend.

On Saturday against GLHA Jr. Mustangs White, the team got off to a slow start, trailing 3-0 after the first period.

Warriors managed to turn things around with a pair of goals from both Quinn Appel and Mark Pyzowski. Beckham McLeod had two assists, with singles going to Gabe Emms, Ryan Haines and Kaleb Martin.

Working hard on defence were Colten Kuepfer and Marek Carter. In the end, the Holloway squad lost 5-4.

On Sunday, the Minor Atoms travelled to Hamilton and came up short with a 3-2 defeat.

Ethan Plotnik and Beckham McLeod were the goal scorers for Stratford. Assists went to Brett Knechtel, Nathaniel Smith and Mark Pyzowski.

Nathan Gibb and Andrew Leitch gave good defensive efforts, while Koen Gerber made some good saves in net.
