Major Atoms lose opener

Stratford Gazette

The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atoms lost a close series opener, 2-1, to the Burlington Bulldogs Tuesday night in Burlington.

Warriors looked a bit out of sorts in Game 1 as goalie Owen Davey made some beautiful saves to keep it close.

Warriors, on the other hand, couldn't cash in on their chances around the Burlington net.

Cole Lewis scored the lone Stratford goal from Jacob Hall and Chadd Langlands.

The team needs its ‘A’ back from last series against Kitchener in order to take the Bulldogs.

Game 2 is back home Saturday afternoon in Stratford at the Allman Arena, starting at 5 p.m.
