Annual Snipers ringette tournament at PRC

St. Marys Journal Argus

Twenty teams have entered the annual Snipers tournament on the Dec. 5-7 weekend, hosted by the St. Marys Ringette Association.

Six St. Marys teams will compete in the various age divisions. Hoping to win gold medals will be the U-10 team, the U-12 Provincial Petites, and the Open ‘B’ adult team.

Also taking part from the local association will be the U-8 team, the U-12 Regional team and the U-16 squad. They will be inviting out-of-town teams to play against that weekend, but won’t be involved in round-robin play.

Another division is the U-19 ‘AA’. St. Marys doesn’t have a team in this age group, and therefore won’t be competing in this competitive division.

Games begin Friday morning at 8:15 a.m., and run right through to late Sunday afternoon at the PRC. There will be four championship games played on Sunday, Dec. 5.

Peter Westelaken is again tournament convener.
