Elma school had record number of cross-country runners

STRATFORD/EXETER – Elma Township Public School in Newry had a record number of students join the cross-country team this year.

The primary team went to the Pat Cook invitational meet in Stratford and the Avon Maitland meet in Exeter.

The junior and intermediate teams went to the North Avon Maitland regional meet at Wawanosh Nature Centre and the Avon Maitland meet in Exeter.

They brought home the following number of medals: 26 from the north region, six from Avon Maitland, and three from the Pat Cook meet – only the primary students went to that competition.
