However, goals by Trevor MacDonald, Jordan Currie and Ryker Killins--in a span of just 4:28--tied the score 5-5 and had the excited Allman faithful hoping for a regulation-time win.
After a scoreless five-minute overtime period, Cyclones out-scored the Cullitons 2-1 in the shootout. Caleb Cameron and Scott Pawson sandwiched goals around one by Stratford’s Jared Culliton.
Overall, Cullitons out-shot the Cycs 52-32. Goalie Drew Reinhardt played well for Cyclones, with 47 saves on the night.
Listowel (7-7-1) moved one point ahead of Stratford (6-6-2) with the road win.
Assistant coach Tim Schultz said Cullitons were hoping for at least a four-point weekend, and now will have earn those points in road games in Kitchener Saturday and in Elmira Sunday.
