Major Bantam Warriors open with 5-2 victory

SARNIA - Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors got their Alliance season off to a great start with a hard-fought 5-2 road victory over the Sarnia Sting here Saturday.

Warriors got a pair of goals from Dalton Carde, while the singles came off the sticks of Colton Fountain, Nic Poole and Luke Goris. Assists were contributed by Evan James and Devon Feltz.

Stratford got good goaltending from Ben Merkel, and the defence played strong--led by Ryan Carruthers and Andy Brickman.

Upcoming: The Canadian Tire Bantams look to continue their good start Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Rotary Complex (Molson Pad) at 3:30 p.m. The visitors will be the Bulldogs from Burlington.
