Major Mosquitos drop two games

The Stratford Furniture Major Mosquitos dropped a pair of games last week.Stratford managed just four hits in a 11-2 loss to first-place Guelph. Owen McLeod hit two singles, with Maverick Petrie and Sean Hood-Tidman collecting the other hits. Owen Chapman and Marshall Adlington played well defensively, and Zack Vaters threw two strong innings.Stratford lost a 7-3 decision to Waterloo. Brody Higgs singled three times with McLeod collecting two hits. Jack Shantz cracked a double and Tyler Johnson and Nick Bossence also collecting hits. Call-ups Shawn Pickering and Colton Fountain played well with Pickering collecting a hit, and Fountain pitching two strong innings. Ryan Stelmachuk played well defensively.
