Karate fighters place well

The 20th annual K.I.C.K. National Arts Championships took place Saturday at Northwestern Public School. Stratford's K.I.C.K. Masters Karate School had many of its students place in the top four of their division.

Paul Carter won the title of Fighting Grand Champion. Adam Keller and Roger Steckly both won first place in their black belt divisions. In men's advanced fighting, Mitch Messer won first place, while Chaz Misuraca took home second. Andrea Adam won first in women's intermediate fighting, while Brad Gravelle took first in men's intermediate. Dylan Woodley captured first in youth novice fighting and second in youth novice forms.

Teen novice fighting saw Cory Robinson take first place, and Kyle Smith take second in teen intermediate fighting. Kaejon Misuraca won second in youth advanced fighting and fourth in youth advanced forms. Morgan Askew took second in youth fighting and forms, while Deanna Blancher won second in youth fighting.

Jen Pfenning won second in women's black belt fighting. Geoff Langford took third in youth intermediate and Matt Cleto won third in youth novice forms.
