Minor Bantams dominate in 7-2 win over Stars

Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantams dominated the St Thomas Stars 7-2 at home on Thursday night.

Stratford had a 44-16 shot advantage. Taking part in the goal parade were Jay Schooley with two, Ryan Selves, Cory Robinson, Owen Drake, Curtis Schaerer and Mitchell McIntosh.

Helpers were handed out to Schaerer (2), Eric Butson (2), Dustin Shean (2), Kayden Wicke (2), Brent Kipfer, Robinson and Drake.

Next action for Stratford is Sunday at home versus London Gold.

Novice Tier 1

In weekend play Stratford Hishons Novice Tier 1 downed Cambridge Hawks on Saturday 4-1.

Stratford got a pair of goals from Jared Nash and singles from James Wilson and Shaun Pickering. Outstanding goaltending from came from Ben Merkel and Cohen Myers.

Sunday, Stratford played at home and defeated Kitchener Red 10-2.

With two goals apiece from Josh Britton, Adam Gibb, Jared Nash and Shaun Pickering Stratford got singles from Joey McIntosh and James Wilson.

Peewee MD

The Crabby Joe's Peewee MD team defeated the Brantford Church Saints 2-0 this week.

Ryan Campbell notched a goal and an assist.

Nolan Murray, meanwhile, also scored, assisted by Christopher Dickenson.

Brady Lewis and Ethan McCarroll had strong games and Brandon Becker recorded the shut-out.
