From the pitch sidelines

Stratford Gazette

Brad Wittig was back for the Al's Motors game this week after serving his one-game suspension in the game against Guelph Oaks last week.

Eelco Bolhuis received a delay on his hearing this Tuesday after the make-up game fell on the same day.

It was re-scheduled to next Tuesday, which unfortunately falls on the same day as City's first Cup game. Seeing as its unlikely the league will grant him another reprieve, Bolhuis may, in fact, end up serving more than one game for a red card that was labelled, at the time, as a make-up call during the hostile Serbija A game last week.

A week later, Alex Eby, continues to be on the lips of those around Stratford soccer. It's rumoured the club has dispatched someone to speak with the Stratford Striker and invite him out to join the club.

Eby, who made the U-19 Toronto Lynx this past winter, was forced to leave the club after he was faced with unexpected costs.

Sean Beech scored again this week to vault him into a tie for fourth in league scoring.

Stratford had three lone goal scorers in the game against Guelph last week.

Keith Donnelly, Aaron Sloane and Jason Dunseith all scored their first goals of the season.

Damir Hadziardic (9) and Erol Kahraman (7) are first in second in league scoring. Both play for Al's Motors and both were held scoreless in the game against Stratford. Kharaman is a first division player playing up, but has yet to score a goal with his lower division team Leoes this season.
