The Stratford Belliveau Construction juvenile boys OBA team won bronze at the Whitby Saints invitational basketball tournament on the weekend.
Stratford defeated the York Avengers 58-51 in pool play.
Abram Enns and Kale Harrison had 20 and 19 points while Ian Sutcliffe and Tyler Bailey had stellar defensive performances.
Stratford scored an 87-50 victory against Collingwood in game two. Lukas Reble led all scorers with 21 points while Harrison had 17 and Enns 15.
Stratford lost their final game in pool play 53-44 to Peterborough.
Kyle McCann had a tremendous defensive effort in the loss.
Stratford advanced to the quarter finals where they defeated the Serbian Youth 91-49. Harrison scored 23 and Brad Louwagie had 18.
Stratford met Peterborough again in the semi-final and again fell short 66-57. Enns led all scorers with 20 points. In the bronze medal game Stratford played a strong game beating the Woodstock Chill 61-48. Andrew Klein had a couple of exciting athletic scores and Enns scored on a tremendous lob dunk. Harrison led all scorers with 20 points and went 27 out of 28 from the free throw line in the tournament. Stratford's next home game is April 25 at 6:30 at Stratford Central against Woodstock.
The Re/Max A-B major midgets play April 19 at 6:30 at Stratford Central.
