SYS U13s defeat Sarnia

Stratford Gazette

The Stratford Strikers boys under-13 team beat Sarnia's Bluewater Strikers 4-2 in London and District Youth Soccer League action last week.

Bluewater were efficient and effective in their passing plays and scored two goals in the first quarter of the game, but Stratford soon turned it around and found two goals by Reid Oliver and Jeremy Hayton to tie the game at half.

In the second half, keeper Jordan Hayle was perfect in net, making many difficult saves. The team rallied and Jake Straus shot one up to Oliver who put in his second goal in for the night.

The fourth goal zig-zagged back and forth in front of the Bluewater goalie before Travis Wouters angled it in from the corner of the six-yard box.
