Pairs tournament held on Canada Day

St. Marys Journal Argus

The Parks Lawn Bowling Club held a pairs tournament on Canada Day, July 1, sponsored by McDonald’s Independent Grocer in St. Marys.

Results were as follows:

First – Wayne Wright, Thamesford, three wins, plus 45.

Second - Gary Moore, Woodstock, three wins, plus 40.

Third - Glenn Keene, Stratford, two wins, plus 47.

Fourth - Ryan Stadnyks, Niagara Falls, two wins, plus 42.

High one game - Larry McLellan and Sharon Farrish, St. Marys, one wins, plus 35.

Other teams that took part were from London, Kitchener, Seaforth and Norwich. Sixteen teams in all--a full house.

Next tournament at the local club will be held on Thursday, July 17, a ladies pairs and men’s pairs event.
