On behalf of the board of directors, staff and residents of Stratford/Perth Shelterlink, I wish to extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in making the recent fundraising event at Downie Street Burger such a success.
We appreciate Downie Street Burger’s willingness and generosity to partner with us on creating this event. It was, in fact, the brainstorm of Ron and his staff at DSB.
Tickets were sold, at a cost of $20, for a wonderful meal. We had two seatings, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. on March 24. We almost sold out!
Finally, thank you to our supporters who bought tickets and came out for a fabulous meal, shared with friends who all share a passion for supporting the homeless youth from our community.
Your pledges and support show us all that our work is important, and that helping homeless and at-risk youth in our community matters.
Wesley Campbell’s fortune cookie from the hunt said it all – “A single kind word will keep one warm for years.”
We invite our community to visit our webpage at www.shelterlink.org to learn more about what we do and opportunities we have to get involved.
