Centennial celebrations

Stratford Gazette

The Stratford Country Club is hosting some upcoming events to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

On Friday, March 15, the club is having a “Squash and Curling” event, and on June 16 we are having a “Hickory Stick” golf tournament.

The events committee is looking for any memorabilia from golf, curling or squash events held at the club over these 100 years. Items such as trophies, photos, posters, vintage clothing, or equipment from bygone years would be appreciated.

These items would be on display during our celebration events.

Anyone willing to lend items  please contact me at 519-273-1319 or  jbiehn@rogers.com.

We are hoping to have some exciting squash and curling matches in March, as well as the challenge of playing with hickory sticks in June. Mark these dates on your calendar and hope to see you there.
