Unused sewing materials wanted for fundraiser

St. Marys Journal Argus

Dear Editor:

Do you have a stash of fabric or yarn you are not planning to use? Here is a chance to pass it along to other creative people, clear some space, and help raise money for a good cause, all at the same time.

If there is a good response to this invitation, the Stonetown Grans will have a sewing, crafting, quilting and knitting materials sale on Saturday, April 20. All the proceeds will go to the Grandmothers’ Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation supporting projects in Sub-Saharan Africa that benefit some of that continent’s 14 million orphans and the grandmothers who take care of them (www.grandmotherscampaign.org).

If you have items to donate, please call me at 519-284-2698. We would like to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Nancy Vermond, St. Marys
