Stocking the shelves

Stratford Gazette

Many thanks to all those who came out on Saturday, December 22 to Mercer Hall for the annual Holiday Shaker.

The Shaker raises awareness and food for the House of Blessing. The event is now in its 10nth year and is organized by long time Stratford Central high school friends Colin James, Lisa Stacey and Danielle Brodhagen.

A huge thank you to all those who came to show their support and drop off their donation. We are pleased to announce that this year’s Shaker collected over 15 grocery bags filled with non-perishable food items.

The event would not be possible without the support of our host establishment, Mercer Hall, and its staff. Special thanks to Tight Industries, Rob Wigan and Lisa and Steve Stacey for contributing the sound and lighting systems to the event.

Once again this year, the following DJs donated their time: Ryan Bergman, Jeremy Sloane, Dj Skank Honto and DJ Wigs.

For more information about this annual event, join our Facebook Group, “Stratford’s Holiday Shaker.”
