Crash sends two to hospital with major injuries

Stratford Gazette

Two area women were taken to hospital with major injuries following a two-vehicle crash south of Stratford Tuesday evening.

According to Perth County OPP, shortly before 7:30 p.m. a Dodge Caravan traveling south on Line 29 failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a Honda Civic driving south on Perth Road 112.

The impact caused both vehicles to roll into the ditch and field located in the south west corner of the intersection. The Dodge landed upright while the Honda landed on its roof.

The Perth East Fire Department attended and extricated the driver of the Honda.

The driver of the Dodge, a 53-year-old St. Marys resident, was transported to local hospital. The driver of the Honda, a 60-year-old from Woodstock,   was transported by air ambulance to a London hospital.

There is no update on their conditions and police have not released any names.
