Serious crash sends Stratford man to London hospital

A 26-year-old Stratford man sustained major injuries after being thrown from his bicycle after a collision with a motorcycle Tuesday morning.

Police have yet to released the identity of the man, who was transported to London hospital, or update his condition.

The crash occurred shortly after 10:35 a.m. on Road 111 north of Highway 7/8. The driver of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old man from Perth East, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in Stratford. The impact of the collision caused both men to be ejected from their rides onto the road.

Road 111 between the highway and Perth Line 37 was closed until roughly 4:30 p.m. yesterday while investigators worked the scene.
