Real estate broker dies four days after crash

A prominent Stratford real estate broker has succumbed to injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision Monday.

Kenneth Eaton died in a London hospital Friday. He was 45.

Police were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Highway 8 and Road 125 shortly after 6 p.m. on June 16. They say Eaton was driving east on the highway in a Toyota sedan when the car crossed into the westbound lane, where it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Blazer SUV. There was extensive damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old Stratford woman, was transported to Stratford hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.

Eaton worked for RE/MAX A-B Realty with his partner Sandra Morris.

He was also a cancer survivor and activist who earlier this month participated in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life fundraiser in Stratford.
