L'Arche Stratford, a community organization that supports men and women with intellectual disabilities, held its annual Way of the Cross procession down TJ Dolan Drive on Friday, April 18 as part of Good Friday, the day Christians recognize Jesus' crucifixion.
Over 50 people were in attendance, following a large wooden cross and singing refrains between stops. The program called for an adapted approach to the traditional 14 stations of the cross, which plot out the instances of the crucifixion from condemnation to burial.
L'Arche's program has a stronger focus on social justice issues.
The entire procession took just under an hour.
