Police arrest man with replica gun

Stratford Gazette

A 18-year-old man was arrested at gun point Saturday in the downtown.

The Stratford Police Service received a call about an individual inside an Ontario Street business with a pistol – which turned out to be a replica handgun – tucked in the waistband of his pants. Periodically he would lift his clothing to expose the gun to store staff and patrons.

Police arrived and located the suspect outside the store. Officers drew their weapons and took the man into custody. He was charged with several weapons offences and for failing to comply with probation.
