Woman in critical condition after crash

Stratford Gazette

Police continue to investigate a single vehicle crash Wednesday morning that sent the female driver to hospital in critical condition.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the crash scene at Line 32 west of Perth Road 130 south of Sebringville.

A Pontiac SUV had been travelling west on Line 32 when it left the roadway and entered the south ditch and struck a tree. The vehicle rolled and landed back onto its wheels on the south shoulder.

The driver, who police have not yet named, was removed from the vehicle by members of the Sebringville fire department and Perth County EMS and transported to Stratford General Hospital. From where she was transported by air ambulance to London Victoria Hospital.

Line 32 between Perth Road 130 and Road 134 was closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. to allow for the removal of the vehicle and the safe investigation of the crash by the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.

Roads were dry and it was sunny at the time of the crash.
