The Festival City Big Band invites you to help bring spring to Stratford, and step out with your partner to enjoy an evening of dancing to swing-era standards, modern tunes, and Latin/salsa numbers.
“(This) 18 member band is delighted to be continuing its tradition of holding dances at the Stratford Country Club, and looks forward to sharing their live music with enthusiastic listeners and dancers alike,” says a press release issued by the event coordinators.
Organizers advise readers to buy their tickets early, as capacity is limited.
The dance takes place on Saturday, March 23 between 8-11 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and are available at Sinclair Pharmacy, 12 Wellington St.
Your ticket will include late-night snacks and a cash bar will also be available.
The Festival City Big Band has been entertaining audiences across southwestern Ontario since 1995. It is a feature performer at such events as Soup’s On, the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and the Stratford Garlic Festival.
The band plays a number of covers of popular songs by artists like Fats Domino, Bobby Darin, Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, and Cole Porter.
