Yungbluts looking for local sponsors

Listowel Banner

LISTOWEL – Erin Yungblut raced the North American Cup IBU qualifier in Valcartier, Quebec last weekend, then headed out with the national team from Montreal on Monday for Obertilliach, Austria.

Yungblut is the first Ontario biathlete to qualify for the World Juniors and be named to the Canadian team. In addition to the Listowel Rifle and Revolver Club, Yungblut has a few more local sponsors including Farm Credit Canada, Hyndman Transport, Wroxeter, Molesworth Farm Supply Ltd., Molesworth, and Pandora's Pantry, Wingham.

She is certainly looking for more local sponsors, since she receives very little provincial funding and no federal funding.

All sponsors receive official tax receipts.

Her sister, Madeline, is also expected to race at NACAC and IAAF World Cross-Country championships in Poland in March with only $150 in funding from Athletics Canada. Madeline has a link to the Athletics Canada website where potential sponsors can make donations and receive tax receipts from Athletics Canada.

Madeline will be running at the NACA (North American Central American, Caribbean) cross-country championships the same weekend that her sister will be racing at World Juniors in Obertilliach, Austria.

Madeline's link to her Athletics Canada sponsorship Chimp account is https://chimp.net/groups/madeline-yungblut-team-canada-cross-country.
