Strangers offering a 12-year old candy a "malicious prank"

St. Marys Journal Argus

The OPP have identified the persons responsible in yesterday’s incident in St. Marys where a 12-year old girl was offered candy and a ride by a passing motorist.

Police have learned the incident was a malicious prank perpetrated by students trying to solicit a reaction from another student.

All four involved are facing a suspension from school. The incident has been cleared by police and no further action is deemed warranted.

Perth County OPP would like to thank the public for their concern and assistance in this investigation.
