Stratford couple holding free holiday concert

Stratford Gazette

You’ll recognize him from Season 2 of CTV’s  Canadian Idol.

Shane Wiebe, who ranked Top 5 when the show aired back in 2004, and wife Angela Wiebe, now reside in Stratford after a move from Abbotsford in 2011.

Traditionally, the Wiebes put on a free annual Christmas concert in their hometown on Dec. 23, and they will continue that tradition here in Stratford at Knox Presbyterian at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation.

Since forming the group, The Wiebes have released four studio albums, been seen by millions on television, and even found themselves on the top 50 Canadian AC radio charts among artists like Michael Buble and Elton John.

The Wiebes are “unapologetically Christian” as they put it, but promise there’s something in their live shows for everyone.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re six, or 106 – you’ll love the humourous and encouraging musical journey we take you on,” says Shane.
