Rev. Frank Howard Score Cooper
The Reverend Frank Howard Score Cooper, A.R.C.T, B.A., B.Th., died July 10 at Stratford General Hospital. A Bermudian and a British subject to the end, he made his home and life in Toronto, Canada, and in his last years, Stratford, embracing the possibilities of where he lived with interest, vision and a sense of community. Of the many places he visited, Ravello was the one to capture his heart. He was a passionate man, whose discerning love for that which is artistic, beautiful and true-be it a rhythm, a line, a turn of phrase, a metaphor, a gesture-permeated his life in both his pleasure and his work, and inspired a corresponding love in the many he touched who opened to his influence. None of us can be sensitive to Toscanini, Garbo, T.S. Eliot, Bernini or the liturgy, without being aware of Frank's spirit. He is survived by by Margaret and Ted, his sister Saramin and brother-in-law Peter, his friend Alan Toff, his children Annie, Vicki, Alex and Danny, and his sons-in-law Peter, Jay and Des. A funeral service was held at St. Martin in-the-Fields in Toronto on Monday. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements by the W.G. Young Funeral Home.
