Library holding raffle to benefit PLOW programming

Stratford Gazette

The Stratford Public Library is holding a raffle to support the Public Library on Wheels.

Tickets cost $20 and 2,000 tickets will be sold. First prize is a complete bathroom makeover by W.J. Holman Plumbing and Heating of Stratford, a prize valued at $10,000. Other prizes include a stainless steel barbecue and a patio set, both valued at $500.

The grand prize is only valid within an hour's drive from Stratford, including cities such as Guelph, St. Thomas, Kitchener, Waterloo, London and Goderich. Instead of the bathroom makeover, the grand prize winner can choose to accept $7,000 cash.

The draw will be held on April 1 at the Spring Home Show at the Stratford Colesium.

In a press release, library CEO Sam Coghlan said the raffle is important as monies raised will go to fund PLOW's programming.
