Stratford Gazette

Planning for the 50th anniversary celebrations for St. Aloyisus School is well under way.

On Friday, May 5 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church, the school will be holding a special anniversary mass lead by pastor, Fr. Dick Bester.

The next day at noon, a family barbecue will begin at the school and at 12:30, special invited guests will be welcomed and introduced.

The day will continue with the cutting of an anniversary cake, followed by an open house when past and present staff, students, parents, and friends of St. Aloysius School can the classrooms in the school. Also in the afternoon there will be "outdoor funfest activities" for all ages, a student volleyball tournament, and memorabilia displays.

"And most importantly, reacquainting and visiting with former board members, staff, students, parents and friends."

Afternoon activities will extend until 3 p.m.

Anyone who wishes can share past stories and pictures by emailing st.aloysius50@hotmail.com or by contacting the school.
