West Perth man dies in single vehicle crash

Stratford Gazette

A 19-year-old man from West Perth is dead after a single vehicle crash early Friday morning.

Perth County OPP say Travis Brown was traveling west on Perth Line 24 between roads 170 and 179 sometime before 6:30 a.m. when the Dodge Dakota pickup truck he was driving left the roadway and entered the north ditch, where it rolled. Brown was ejected from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Western Region OPP Technical Traffic Investigation Unit was at the scene and the section of road was closed into the early afternoon. Police believe speed was a factor and that Brown was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
