The Stratford Concert Choir held its St. Valentine's Tribute at the Central United Church Sunday. The evening featured three acts comprised of choral music, solos, and special guest lutist Terry McKenna.
Also accompanying the choir were the young actors of Playmakers! theatre school, who peppered the performance with humorous skits, Shakespearean sonnet recitations, and a sword fight.
Over 150 guests attended the show. During the two intermissions, they could peruse a silent auction filled with donated items from local businesses.
Artistic director Ian Sadler, celebrating his 25th season with the Stratford Concert Choir, explained the day's performance was in addition to the choir's usual practice of three annual productions.
"We wanted to do one to brighten people's spirits this winter," he said.
