Nursing home worker charged with theft

Stratford Gazette

A 26-year-old Tavistock woman has been charged with theft from the nursing home where she worked as a registered nurse.

Oxford County OPP announced Friday afternoon they had made an arrest after being notified in January about missing narcotics from the Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock.

The woman has been charged with theft under $5,000, falsification of documents, and possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl), and was being held in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock today (Feb. 7).
