Police release image of robbery suspect

Stratford Gazette

Stratford police have released security camera images of the suspect wanted for a robbery in the city last month.

On Monday, July 30, a man entered the Paris Jewellers in Festival Marketplace Mall and smashed the glass counter, scooping out an undisclosed amount of jewelry. The case contained gold and diamond jewelry.

According to police, the store is still attempting to determine what was stolen from inventory. As a result, a dollar amount has not been determined.

The suspect, who is described as white with a thin build, medium length dirty blond hair, between 25-35 years old, fled the store, running through the field behind the mall, but police were unable to locate him. He was wearing a red long sleeved shirt, khaki shorts, sunglasses, a blue ball cap and was carrying a dark coloured duffel bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call Stratford police or Crime Stoppers.
