Parson back in court in April

Stratford Gazette

A preliminary hearing to deal with charges against local concert promoter Chris Parson will be held in the spring.

Parson, president of Standing Ovation Productions, is facing charges of fraud and failing to state financial conditions.

On Dec. 17, Parson's case was adjourned to April 2, when the preliminary hearing will take place at the Ontario Court of Justice.

The charges, recently laid by Stratford Police Services, date back to September 2006 and stem from a complaint made to police.

Parson was responsible for staging Ovationfest, outdoor three-day concerts which were held in 2005 and 2006. He has also produced a winter concert series in the city for a number of years.
