TITLE DEFENDED

Matt Reesor of the North Perth Fire Combat Team competes at the Canadian Firefit national finals in Spruce Meadows, Alberta on Sept. 14-16. Reesor, Mike Morrison, Dave Kloostra and Jason Hutchison improved their times in every division from 2015, capped off with blazing 1:16 in the volunteer relay competition to defend their national volunteer team championship.

HOSTING DUTIES

Construction commencing

The official sod-turning ceremony for the future Steve Kerr Memorial Complex took place on June 4 at its future site in Listowel’s west end, with the project scheduled to be completed in the autumn of 2017. Pictured is the Kerr family, along with members of the North Perth recreation complex committee.

High voltage

Representatives from the Municipality of North Perth and local businesses helped unveil the new electric car charging station in Listowel recently.
