Matt Reesor of the North Perth Fire Combat Team competes at the Canadian Firefit national finals in Spruce Meadows, Alberta on Sept. 14-16. Reesor, Mike Morrison, Dave Kloostra and Jason Hutchison improved their times in every division from 2015, capped off with blazing 1:16 in the volunteer relay competition to defend their national volunteer team championship.

Construction commencing

The official sod-turning ceremony for the future Steve Kerr Memorial Complex took place on June 4 at its future site in Listowel’s west end, with the project scheduled to be completed in the autumn of 2017.
