An honour to serve as Mayor

St. Marys Journal Argus

Dear Editor:

The month of November is quickly drawing to a close, and my term of office as Mayor of St. Marys will end.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for having had the privilege to serve our Town for the past four years as Mayor. It has been a great experience – one that I have enjoyed and will never forget.

The outgoing Council has dealt with many challenges, and I am proud of the successes that we achieved. I thank you for your efforts and for the opportunity to work together. Looking ahead, the members of the incoming Council face many challenges as well. I wish you all the best.

It has been a pleasure for me to meet and work with our dedicated Town Staff. I now know how demanding your jobs can be at times. Thank you, and keep up your good work.

I wish to acknowledge my hard-working and faithful campaign team. We ran a top-notch campaign, and each and every one of you should be proud. I know I am. Thank you, friends.

To other friends and the fine citizens of St. Marys who have supported me along the way, I extend heartfelt thanks. You were there when I was elected in 2010, during my term of office, and most recently, on October 27th and in the days that have followed. Your kind words and expressions of appreciation, encouragement, and gratitude mean a great deal to me.

Finally, I thank my family for your love and support. You are the best.

Once again, it has been an honour for me to serve as Mayor of St. Marys. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Steve Grose
