Lead organizer Arlene Callander was thrilled to report that 94 people took part in the 2014 St. Marys edition of the annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, Sept. 14.

“When we opened up the doors of the Junction Station at 9:30, we had people already there wanting to sign up,” she smiled. “We had quite a few new people; we had several visitors to town.

“I want to thank all the participants. We had a wonderful day,” she said, adding the St. Marys fundraising total for the day — with money going towards the cancer-related research projects supported by the Terry Fox Foundation — exceeded $5,000.

Callander has two 2014 Terry Fox Run t-shirts for sale — one size large and one size X-large. If you’re interested, call her at 519-284-0225. The cost is $20.
