Don Atkinson

 

Mr. Donald Roy Atkinson passed away suddenly, at his home in Listowel, on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the age of 56.

Husband of Helen (Carter) Atkinson. Father of Adam and April Atkinson of Fordwich, and Bradley Atkinson, and Jeremy and Ashley Atkinson , all of Listowel. Grandfather of Keean and Amber, Kylie, Natalie, and Jazmyne.

Son of Roy Atkinson of Palmerston and the late Serina Atkinson, and son-in-law of the late Levi and Grace Carter. Brother of Ricky and Debbie Atkinson of Palmerston, Paul and Patti Atkinson of Mount Forest, Wes and Jenny Atkinson of Minesing, and Linda Atkinson and Cliff England of Washago. Brother-in-law of Grace and Ed Wiersma of Kitchener, Hank and Laurie Carter of Wingham, Doug Carter and Deb Potvin of Comber, Barb and Richard Bowman of Owen Sound, Kenny and Pam Carter, Marge and Andy Adams, Judy and Bill Lappage, Kevin and Vicki Carter, and Terry and Tracey Carter, all of Bluevale, and Karen Heslop and her husband Tim of London.

Predeceased by his brother-in-law Levi Carter and his sister-in-law Doreen Carter.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
