Frank Neves

Mr. Francisco Neves of Listowel passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of Eugenia (Borges) Neves. Dear father of Cidalia and Joseph Pereira of Brampton, and Paula and Vander Holz of Calgary, Alberta. Grandfather of Jason and Philip Pereira, and Dane, Delcy and Diego Holz.

Brother of John Denis and Maria Neves of California, Antonio and Irene Neves of Mississauga, Joe and Ana Neves of Portugal, Francis and Joe Couto, and Maria and George Leonardo, all of California.

Predeceased by his sister Lucy Couto.

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Sunday, April 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel on Monday, April 28 at 11 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Clarence Frey

Mr. Clarence Frey, September 1, 1947-April 25, 2014, passed away suddenly to glory at his home in Listowel, on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 66.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Verna (Bauman) Frey and by his children Cindy and Bryan Kuepfer of Atwood, Colin Frey and Kim Matthews of Listowel, Lowell and Julie Frey of Gowanstown, Lyndon Frey of Picture Butte, Alberta, and JoAnne and Mike Snider and Jon and Christa Frey, all of Atwood. Forever remembered by his grandchildren Janelle and Bryanne Kuepfer, Eric and Gregory Frey, Owen, Haley, and Austin Frey, Mitchell and Abbi Snider, and Emma, Leah, Mac, and Braya Frey.

Brother of Norman and Marie Frey, and brother-in-law of Gordon Bauman, Clare and Grace Bauman, Lorna and Lavern Martin, Viola and Nelson Weber, and Ron Bauman.

Clarence was predeceased by his parents Noah and Barbara (Bauman) Frey, his parents-in-law Rufus and Magdelina (Gingrich) Bauman, and by his sister-in-law Diane Bauman.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church, where the funeral service was held on Monday, April 28 at 2 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Youth For Christ South Western Ontario, or Northern Youth Programs would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.

James & Betty Wray

Mrs. Betty Irene (Hawke) Wray of Listowel passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Jim Wray.

Mr. James Townsley Wray of Listowel passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Betty Wray.

Dear parents of Sheila and Ken Rich of Fordwich, and the late James William Wray. Betty is survived by her sister Phyllis Guthrie and Leroy Kemp of Zellwood, Florida. James is survived by his brothers Bert and Helen Wray of Durham, and Dick and June Wray of Stratford.

A graveside funeral service for James and Betty will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Listowel on Friday, May 2 at 11:30 a.m., with a gathering and luncheon to follow at the Listowel Legion.

Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Esther Elliott

Mrs. Esther Louise (Kahle) Elliott of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the age of 86.

Wife of the late Jim Elliott. Mother of Bob and Bonnie Elliott of Linwood, and Cliff and Cindy Elliott of Listowel. Grandmother of Christa and Jon Frey of Atwood, Carolyn and Stephen Marles, and Andrew Elliott and his friend Sarah, all of Kitchener. Great-grandmother of Emma, Leah, Mac, Braya, Kole, Khloe, Myles, Kaighlynn and Bryce.

Sister-in-law of Jean Elliott, Joyce Turcotte, Helen Cullen, Ina Purcell and Pat Elliott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son Paul Elliott, parents John and Christina (Bode) Kahle, sister Myrtle Johnson, and brother Irvin Kahle.

A private family funeral service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, April 29, followed by interment in Molesworth Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
