Hoping to net some proceeds during Car Show

St. Marys Journal Argus

During this Saturday’s Downtown Car and Bike Show, be sure to stop by Lyric Flowers at 167 Queen Street East to help the St. Marys Tennis Club in its fundraising effort towards repairing the playing surface at the tennis courts on Water Street.

Jay Harrison and Landon Hoare are the owners of Lyric Flowers, and Hoare is a member of the Tennis Club, which has recently launched a fundraising campaign to support the repair of the aging Water Street facility.

As a special feature this Saturday during the Car and Bike Show, Harrison and Hoare are offering bouquets of six carnations for $5, with proceeds going to the tennis court rejuvenation project.

The Car Show runs until 3 p.m., with Queen Street closed to vehicular traffic to allow for hundreds of classic cars to be displayed throughout downtown.
