Charles Morris

Mr. Charles Willard Morris of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of Janet (Carter) Morris. Dear father of Steve and Lori Morris of Port Elgin, and grandfather of Austin and Kayla.

Brother of Wayne and Judy Morris, and Charles and Linda Morris, all of Owen Sound, and Brian and Marsha Morris of Sauble Beach, and brother-in-law of Joan Morris of Markdale.

Predeceased by his brother Keith Morris and his daughter Teresa.

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, May 13 from 6-9 p.m.

Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Bruce “Red” Dubrick

Bruce Clyde “Red” Dubrick of Listowel passed away peacefully, in the early hours of Monday, May 13, 2013 at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of the late Glenna (Slomke) Dubrick. Loving father of Don and Maria Dubrick of Kitchener, Dave and Kelly Dubrick of Stratford, and Darlene and John Whitfield of London; grandfather of Lisa (Kristine) and Chris (Heather) Dubrick, Ashley (Adam), Heather (Dan) and Scott (Amanda) Dubrick, and Merico (Kris) Tesolin; and great-grandfather of Alexandra and Austin.

He is the brother of Joy (Clayt) Reidel of Waterloo, and Ron (Ruth) Dubrick of Hanover.

Predeceased by his parents, George and Lavina Dubrick, and by his brother Robert.

Red will be remembered by many family and friends, including his backyard feathered friends.

Retired 26 years from the Listowel PUC, Red was an avid sportsman, excelling in baseball, golf, darts and bowling. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and a good game of cards. A long-standing member of Listowel Legion Branch 259, his wonderful sense of humour and ability to poke fun at his friends and family will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a Legion memorial service at 6:30 p.m.  Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Red’s life on Friday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Listowel. Private family interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Jack Manning

Mr. John William Manning passed away peacefully at his home in Listowel on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the age of 84.

Beloved husband of Betty (Lucas) Manning. Father of Tom Manning, and Connie and Joe Bahadoor, all of Listowel. Grandfather of Melissa and Adam Crawford, Joseph Bahadoor, Brittany Bahadoor, Leanne Manning, and Jeff, David, Felicia, and Lynne. Great-grandfather of 10.

Brother-in-law of Reta and Lorne Mann of Gorrie.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Alice (McCutcheon) Manning, and his son Donald Manning.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, where the funeral service was held on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

George McKnight

Mr. George Chambers McKnight of RR 1 Listowel  passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of the late Helen (Stief) McKnight. Father of Nancy Andrews of RR 1 Ariss, and the late Ruth Anne King. Grandfather of Stacey and Christian Feldskov of Fordwich, Jeff King of Vancouver, and Mike and Susan King of St. Thomas, and great-grandfather of Alexandria, Erik, Abigail, Clark and Landon.

Brother-in-law of Trudy McKnight of Grimsby, Carl and Nancy Stief of Owen Sound, and Ken and Valerie Stief of Midland. Lovingly remembered by Greg and Jeannette King of Wingham, and by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his daughter, his brother Joe McKnight, and by his son-in-law Rick Andrews.

A family graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.

Memorial donations to Sleeping Children Around the World would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
