Stepping up for the cause

Stratford Gazette

The annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser was held Saturday at Festival Marketplace Shopping Centre.

A number of area men collected pledges in support of Optimism Place Women's Shelter and Support Services, helping the organization reach its goal of $15,000.

In exchange, they walked the entire length of the mall and back again, led by the Stratford Police Pipes and Drums band, wearing red high-heeled shoes.
