Once again this year, the Lind Sportsplex in St. Marys played host to a fundraising event that will help make possible a dream family vacation for a child suffering from a terminal illness in southwestern Ontario.

Perth County’s paramedics organize the annual curling bonspiel in support of Sunshine Dream for Kids. The 2013 event was held on Thursday, March 28.

Participating rinks represented a range of service providers and organizations in Perth County, including Festival Hydro, the Stratford firefighters, and St. Marys DCVI.

“Last year, we were able to use the funds raised at this event to send a child and their family to Florida,” reported paramedic and event organizer Julie Jeffery of Perth County EMS.
