Stratford Public Library plays cupid

Stratford Gazette

A glass of bubbly, a flickering candle and a blind date with ...  the book of your dreams.

Stratford Public Library is tempting you to have a “Blind Date With a Book.”

Hidden gems from its collections are waiting for their perfect match. The selected titles from many book genres are wrapped up and will stay hidden until you check them out and take them home.  While you may not be able to see the cover, each book is wrapped with a “personals ad” that hints at what goes on under the covers.

The best part of your blind date is – no hurt feelings. All the library asks in return is for you to tell all – even if your date is a dud.  If your date is a stud, then you’ve discovered a new author to love for evermore.

When you “rate your date” your name will be entered into a draw for some  prizes:

· A box of assorted chocolates from Chocolate Barrs

· A $25 gift certificate from Flowers on York

· A $20 gift certificate good at any business in city centre from the Stratford City Centre Committee

What’s your true author love? You never know until you take a chance on that “Blind Date With a Book.”

Check out the main floor display at the library and then check out your “Blind Date” book from Feb. 14-28. Contest entries will be accepted at the library until March 21.
