The Lung Association’s 16th annual Tulip Day Campaign is taking place across Huron and Perth counties for three days beginning Feb. 20.
Tulips, in a variety of colours, are priced at $7 a bunch. Potted tulips are also available, priced at $9 per pot.
The sale of the tulips across the province will generate much-needed funds to support Lung Association health education initiatives such as Breath Works and the Asthma Action program.
In Canada, someone dies of lung disease every 15 minutes and lung disease is the third leading cause of death.
Tulips will be available in Stratford at Zehrs (Feb. 20 and 23), the Jenny Trout Centre (Feb. 20-23), Stratford Farmers’ Market (Feb. 23) and Festival Marketplace (Feb. 23).
The following week, tulips will be for sale at the Lung Association’s major fundraising event, the Stratford Garden Festival, from Feb 28 to March 3 at the Rotary Complex.
