Harvey Maurer

Harvey Maurer died peacefully at home in The Village, Listowel on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 with Irene, his wife of 25 years, at his side. He was in his 80th year. Harv was diagnosed five weeks ago with incurable bone cancer.

Harv is survived by his wife Irene (Houston-Bailey); his children Connie Montgomery (Gary), Nancy Witteveen (Mark), Gayle Tucker (Cecil), Kevin (Sandra) and Tammy Aiken; his stepchildren Paula Berlett (Dennis), Peter Bailey (Maria) and Jacquie Bailey-Cregan (Steve). Also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Harvey was predeceased by his daughter Debbie in 2009, brother Roy Maurer, brothers-in-law Wayne Houston and Bud McKee. He is also remembered by Lorna Diamond, the mother of his children; brother-in-law of Margaret McKee and Beatrice Houston.

At Harv’s request, a private family service will be held. There will be a celebration of life at Listowel First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m.

Donations to Listowel First Baptist Church or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Ken Thompson, Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston (519-343-3800).

Wesley Bridge

Mr. Charles Wesley Bridge of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband of Blanche (Loree) Bridge for almost 60 years. Father of Laurie and David Henry, and father-in-law of Wendy Bridge, all of Listowel. Grandfather of Timothy and his wife Alyssa, David and his wife Kelly, and Steven Bridge, and great-grandfather of Addison and Abigail.

Brother of Roy and Wanda Bridge, and Lorne Bridge, all of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Lorne and Betty Loree of Chesley, and Austin and Mildred Loree of Lucknow.

Predeceased by his son John Bridge, brother Eldon, sisters Eileen Moffat, Lois Clyne, and Shirley Bridge, and by his sister-in-law Edith Moore.

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Thursday, Jan. 31 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service was held at First Baptist Church, Listowel on Friday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Listowel, or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Loni Ilgert

Mrs. Loni (Stebner) Ilgert of Fordwich passed away at Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at the age of 84.

Beloved wife of the late Otto Ilgert. Mother of Sigrid and Danalt Golnik of Listowel, and Harold and Ingrid Ilgert of Calgary.

Grandmother of Denise Golnik, Glen and Pamela Golnik, Shauna Golnik, Duane Golnik, David and Carolyn Ilgert, Lorita and Kevin Sonnenberg, Jonathan and Kristen Ilgert, and Jeremy Ilgert. Great-grandmother of Amelli Loni Golnik, Grace, Avalon, and Olivia Ilgert, Emma and Noah Sonnenberg, and Edward Ilgert.

Sister of Lydia Henkelmann of Edmonton, Edelgard and Gustav Mutschmann of Chilliwack, B.C., and Manfred Stebner of Toronto.

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, Feb. 4 from 6-8 p.m. and again at the Church of God, Waterloo on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

Memorial donations to the Mission Board at the Church of God or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Judy Donegan

Judy Donegan passed away peacefully at her winter home in Florida, after a courageous fight with cancer and rheumatoid arthritis for so many years, on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, with her soul mate at her side.

Judy had 46 years of love with her husband Harry. She was a devoted mother to Sherry Donegan of Baden, and Shawn and Rhonda Donegan of Listowel, and grandmother to Shelby and Brianne Donegan.

Also survived by her sister, brothers, and their families as well as Harry's brother, sister, and their families.

Judy loved life and lived every day to its fullest. She will always be remembered. She loved to spend time with her family at the cottage and at their homes in Port Charlotte and Listowel. Her passions were to boat, decorate, garden, shop and travel. But most of all, she loved to spend time with her granddaughters, who were the twinkle of her eye. Judy was a remarkable woman who touched the heart of everyone that she met. She will be missed.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, Feb. 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Listowel, on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m., with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to the North Perth Recreation Complex or Grand River Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
