Lynda Gowing

Mrs. Lynda Florence Arldene (Darroch) Gowing passed away peacefully at her home in Listowel on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at the age of 58 years.

Lynda is survived by Douglas R. Gowing, her loving husband of 42 years, and by her children Jeremy Gowing and his partner Tess Adaskus of Atwood, and Marcia Gowing of Listowel. Grandmother of Daniel, Justin, Austin, Curtis, Josie, and Courtney.

Sister of John and Margaret Darroch, Donna Rudow, Eleanora Larson, Donelda and John Herrfort, Barbara and Robert Mitchell, Alvin Darroch and his friend Christine, Raymond and Connie Darroch, Sheila and Albert Subject, Cathy and David Smith, Bonnie and Fred Wocks, Shally Ernest, Roxanne and Greg Bowman, and Phyllis and Ted Smith. Sister-in-law of Pat Vick, Ruth and Don Martinson, Shirley and Don Adamschuck, Barb and Nigel Way, Danny Gowing, Maxine and Orvis Fletcher, and Helen Sommerville.  She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.

Predeceased by her parents John and Norma (Fischer) Darroch, sister Shirley, brother Gordon Darroch, brothers-in-law Dalton, Lyle, and Donald Gowing, and Ron Rudow, and by her sisters-in-law Joyce Bender, and Molly Gowing.

A celebration of Lynda’s life took place at her home (719 Main St. W., Listowel) on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 1-4 p.m.

Memorial donations to the ALS Society would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel (519-291-4840).

Harold Kuepfer

Harold (Roly) Kuepfer passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at his home RR 1 Newton. He was born 69 years ago in Mornington Township, dear son of Mary S. (Kuepfer) of RR 1 Newton and the late Aaron J. Kuepfer.

Beloved husband of the late Almeda (Albrecht) Kuepfer, who predeceased him Jan. 13, 2001. Loving father of Glen and Edith Kuepfer of RR 3 Listowel, Cindy and Ervin Streicher of RR 1 Newton, Cathy and Mark Krabbe of Listowel, and Dennis Kuepfer of RR 1 Newton and friend Tiffany Baechler. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Cody, Ainsley, Kayla, Cory, Dustin, Devon, Almeda (Mia), Makenna and Marly.

Remembered by his sisters Lydiann and Joel Wagler, Adeline and Germain DeBrouwer all of RR 1 Newton, and Muriel and Larry Harvey of Meaford; his brother Joseph and Rosanna Kuepfer of RR 1 Newton; sisters-in-law Sarah and Sam Kuepfer of RR 1 Newton, Kathleen and John R. Kuepfer of Listowel and Esther and Ken Kuepfer of RR 1 Newton.

Harold was predeceased by his children Roy (1970) and Joanne (1977), father-in-law and mother-in-law Daniel R. and Veronica Albrecht, and sister-in-law Muriel and Aaron S. Kuepfer.

Harold was a member of Morningview Amish Mennonite Church, RR 1 Newton. Harold owned Kuepfer Farm Drainage for many years.

Family and friends called at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 7-9 p.m. and again Friday, Dec. 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. at Morningview Amish Mennonite Church, RR 1 Newton. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Starlight Canada.
