Charity knit-in

Stratford Gazette

A group of about 12 dedicated knitters were hard at work Saturday afternoon inside Parkview United Church making red scarves for the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, an organization that provides support and education services to people living in Perth, Huron, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties.

The scarves will be handed out during Stratford’s upcoming World AIDS Day candlelight vigil on Nov. 30 at Community of Christ Church. The knitters also plan to leave some around the city as a way to promote HIV/AIDS awareness.

Anyone wishing to donate a finished scarf are asked to email stratfordknits@gmail.com
